Primary Advisor: Isaac Smith

Jessie is a third-year undergraduate student at York University pursuing a degree in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, with an Honours in Atmospheric Science. She has been working in Dr. Isaac B. Smith's lab since March 2020, doing research on the atmospheric dynamics of the Venusian atmosphere. Her research has been focused on wave formations in the middle cloud layer of the atmosphere. Jessie will be working on studying the interactions between the clouds at mid to high latitudes, and the barotropically unstable areas in which vortices form, with the goal of modelling the conditions necessary to generate vorticity under a superrotating atmosphere.
