We live in a remarkable age when hundreds of new planets are being discovered every year, rewriting our understanding of the universe and our place within it. Their discovery is dependent on innovative new technologies in robotics, aerospace, remote sensing, adaptive optics and spectroscopy, requiring scientists to work together with engineers and industry partners. These technologies build on Canada’s past advances, will drive new innovation and economic growth, and will enable the major new discoveries of tomorrow.
The proposed Technologies for Exo-Planetary Science (TEPS) CREATE program addresses the primary objectives of the CREATE program, made possible by the generous support of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) of Canada, by offering students and PDFs innovative and collaborative learning environments, incorporating internships, student mobility and professional training.
