Dr. Célia Blain completed her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at University of Victoria. She was a research engineer at the University of Victoria Adaptive Optics Laboratory, did her Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Arcetri Observatory in Italy and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Victoria Adaptive Optics Laboratory in Canada. Her research interests include Adaptive Optics (AO), Extreme AO, Multi-‐Object AO; High-‐contrast imaging, exoplanet detection and characterization, astrobiology; and Astronomical instrumentation, pyramid wavefront sensors, deformable mirrors.
