Brittney Cooper

Brittney Cooper is currently in her fourth year of study (out of five in total) at York University, pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Science, double majoring in atmospheric science and astronomy.

During her first year at York, she began volunteering and eventually working for the York University Astronomical Observatory, which promoted her interest in the topic and lead her to add it on as a second major. Beginning in January of last year, Ms. Cooper began a new project analyzing images from the Mars Color Imager (MARCI) aboard the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) with the aim of constraining the geometries of ice-crystals which comprise Martian water-ice clouds, through analysis of their scattering phase function.
