Akash Chauhan

Akash Chauhan is currently pursuing Bachelor of Science in Honors Physics and Astronomy at York University. As part of his research experience, he worked as a research assistant for Dr.Menary on the Sonoluminescence Project. He is currently participating in a doing a study on optical gyroscopes as a research assistant for Dr.Lee. Akash is interested in learning about different technologies and methods of analysis; and enjoys his time working in the Matlab and uncovering exoplanets.

Akash’s journey in Physics started when Science fiction shows such as Fringe piqued his Interest and made him want to understand Physics on a fundamental level. His goal at that time was to be on the forefront of Theoretical Astrophysics and Cosmology. However, now my focus has shifted from asking questions which deal with why a phenomena occurs to asking more application-based questions.
